I've always hovered around 218 to 222 lbs and have never done anything to keep my weight there. Every now and then I'd think about how nice it would be to lose 10-15 pounds but being a stay at home dad I just was in a fixed routine and dieting never worked for me. I'd try switching to diet sodas or cutting bread out of my diet but then I would just get to the 218 lb end of things.

Then right before the holidays my wife brought home some Fullbars. At this point I'd gotten up to 228 lbs so I was ready to try something. I started following the plan and was very quickly pleased with how it worked. I was eating the same foods I enjoyed but eating less of them. I was also snacking less between meals. Up to Christmas I lost 8 lbs. I put 4 of it back on over the holiday but then started up again with Fullbar after the holidays and it really kicked in.

I found that even when I didn't have a bar before a meal I was eating less and being satisfied. I lost another 10 lbs in about 2 1/2 weeks. Then I went to a big party at the Ritz Carlton. There were great appetizers and I had tastes from all the ones I liked but didn't have too much of anything. Then they opened the dining room doors and there was an orgy of food inside. Carved to order roast beef. Design your own pasta dishes, gourmet pizzas and other stations to sample. I walked in with my wife and was shocked because I didn't want to eat anything more! Really good free food and I just got a drink and enjoyed the conversations we had with people we met. So here I was at a free party and I'd had a few drinks which would usually remove any will power I had to eat sensibly and I just didn't want more food! Will power was not even an issue, I just didn't want more. You could have knocked me over with a feather at this point.

Since then I set a target to get under 200 lbs. I'm currently at 208 and still creeping down.
